About
A floating neighbourhood in the Johan van Hasseltkanaal, situated in the North of Amsterdam. In this ecologically and socially sustainable neighbourhood we live with 46 households, on 30 arks. 15 arks contain two households each, in a semidetached way. And we also realised a shared meetingspace on one of the arks.
Goal
The goal of Schoonschip was to create the most sustainable floating neighbourhood of Europe.
This was the ambition that sparked the development by its residents, the actually elaboration of this goal became more specific along the process and is still in development till today.
